Polocrosse
Developed in Australia, polocrosse is fast paced team sport combining the speed of polo and the strategy and tactics of netball, the toughness of rugby and the ball handling ability of lacrosse. Polocrosse is dubbed as the “king of the one horse sports’’ and is played in 18 countries by more than 10,000 riders worldwide. Part of the training regime for the horses at Kaloola is the skills needed for polocrosse – great stops, fast acceleration and spinning turns.
Murray Thomas has learnt the art of natural horsemanship from many of the world’s best teachers, including Pat Parelli, Michael Wilson, and Scott Keogh.
Natural horsemanship is a method of communication between horse and rider based on mutual trust and respect. Kaloola’s polocrosse working holidays afford the unique opportunity to be a groom over winter and play with our club if you are a player and be part of an amazing Aussie community.
